Configuring Email

Overview

Loome Integrate can be configured to send email notifications. In order to do so, you will need to configure settings within Loome Integrate, and potentially liase with your IT administrator for additional configuration on their end.

User Credentials or Anonymous Relay?

In order for Loome Integrate to send email, you will need to make a decision around whether to use a mail enabled service account, or configure your mail server to provide an anonymouse relay rule to the Loome Integrate server(s).

User Credentials

To configure Loome Integrate to send emails using a particular user account, ensure your IT Administrator has provided you with the following;

  • A mail enabled account, along with the password.
  • The hostname and port of the SMTP server that Loome Integrate should send email through.

Anonymous Relay

To configure Loome Integrate to send emails using an anonymous relay, ensure your IT Administrator has provided you with the following;

  • The hostname and port of the SMTP server that Loome Integrate should send email through.
  • An open relay rule on the SMTP server for the Loome Integrate front-end and back-end servers.
    • The most common way to do this is via the IP Address of the sending server. You should retrieve the IP addresses of the front-end and back-end Loome Integrate servers and provide this to your IT Administrator.
