When running the upgrade, check the version number of your portal from the About page.
Run the pre-requisite steps under each version up to the version you are upgrading to.
For example, if you are upgrading from 4.2 to 4.5, you should run any pre-requisite steps listed under 4.3, 4.4, and then 4.5 before running the upgrade.
