Source Systems

What are Source Systems?

Loome Publish allow users to pull assets and data sources into the portal from a source system. This feature is useful when you have many reports and data sources you want to transfer into the portal.

Instead of manually adding each report, Loome Publish can automatically import and sync these assets. There are two types of source systems:

  • SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Power BI Server

Once reports and data sources have been imported into Loome Publish, they will be automatically synced every 10 minutes. Loome Publish will pick up any new reports or data sources from the server and update any new changes made to existing assets.

Use the Refresh button to refresh the screen for sync status and message displays. Any errors with the configuration or syncing of the source systems will be displayed under ‘Message’.

Will I receive notifications when syncing Source Systems?

Administrators will receive notifications if there are new items from a sync and if there has been an error during sync.

If your source system fails to sync and results in an error or if new assets have been synced from a source system, Loome Publish will send an email to notify administrators. Administrators can edit the email templates for these email notifications in Configuration.
