Tasks are for work management in the Loome Portal to help your teams move beyond passive monitoring and into proactive action and collaboration, all within the Loome environment.
Tasks allows you to operationalize your workflows, enabling you to:
You can find tasks in the left-hand navigation menu.
Click on Add New Task at the top-right.

Provide a name for the task in the Title field.
Choose the priority of the task from the dropdown, such as, low, medium or high.
Choose the due date for the task. Pick a date from the calendar. You can choose a month and year at the top of the calendar, and click on the clock icon at the bottom of the calendar to choose a time.
Assign the task to a user in the Assign to field. Type in a username or email and then select the user from the dropdown. You can assign a task to only one user.
Select or create any tags for this task.
Add a description for the task. You can add information about the task here.
Create the task at the bottom-right.

You can add a new task from an asset in both the catalogue and from activities.
On the right of the asset or activity, in the actions column, click on Create Task.
In the catalogue, this may be under More and in the dropdown.

In the activities, in hierarchy view, the action will be on the right of the overall row and in the dropdown on the right of each activity.

You can create the task by providing required fields as above and Loome will provide a link to the related item (such as the asset) in the task.

When you view or edit the task, there will be a link to the item so it can be easily found later while working on the task.

You can view the details of a task by clicking on the title of the task.
You can learn more about a task using the comments in discussions or the history tab.
When you are ready to start working on a task, click on Start Work in the actions column on the right of the task.
After you have worked on the task and are ready for the task creator to review it, click on Submit for Review.

After the task has been reviewed, it will either be approved and marked as complete or rejected and you will be notified so you can work on the task again.
There are a few ways to manage your created tasks:

After a user has submitted a task for review, you can approve or reject the task.

If you find that a task requires more work or needs to be modified after you have marked it as complete, you can reopen the task.
Click on the Reopen button in the actions column on the right of a task.

After you have clicked on a task to view or edit it, you can then create discussions in that task.
On the right, you can provide comments in the discussions section. Type in your comment and then click Send.
You can refresh the comments using the Refresh button at the top-right.
You can delete a comment using the button at the top-right of each comment.

You can view the history of changes made to this task using the History tab at the top-right beside the discussions tab.
You can view changes such as when the task was created and the user that created the task, whether any comments were added or deleted, or when the assignee or priority was changed, and which user made those changes.

You can be notified about task related events or updates with in-app notifications and with task summaries as email notifications.
These can be configured on the settings page and in the notification settings.
Task summary email schedules will send out emails at your preferred times with a summary of tasks assigned to users or tasks that you have created.

You can manage in-app notifications for tasks. In the notification settings, accessed at the top-right of the notification menu, you have the notification options:

You can choose to enable in-app and email notifications for task summaries.
You can choose to enable email notifications for task-related events or updates.
Please note that if you disable email notifications here, you will not receive email notifications even if you have created and enabled task summary schedules in settings.
